(Cincinnati, Oh.) – The Cincinnati Reds are ready to welcome fans back to Great American Ball Park.
The organization announced today that GABP will be open at 30 percent capacity, following guidance from Governor Mike DeWine.
The Reds’ stadium holds a little over 42,000 people under normal circumstances. At 30 percent, approximately 12,695 tickets could be sold for any one game.
“We are excited to welcome fans back to the ballpark to kick off the season on Opening Day,” said Phil Castellini, Reds President and COO. “We thank Governor DeWine and the officials at the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County for their guidance and cooperation throughout the planning process.”
The 145th Reds Opening Day takes place on Thursday, April 1 against the St. Louis Cardinals. First pitch is slated for 4:10 p.m.
Safety protocols at GAPB include required mask wearing (unless eating or drinking), socially distanced pod-style seating, digitally issued tickets for contactless entry, contactless and cashless forms of payment at concession and merchandise stands, and a new bag policy prohibiting backpacks.
