Milan's Bode, Switz. Co's Smith Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

(Milan, Ind.) - Three student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC Report for May 12-17 was released on Thursday. 

Switzerland County's Zayne Smith and Southwestern's Adam Traylor were named the ORVC Baseball Players of the Week. Smith went 2-0 on the mound, striking out 25 batters and giving up only two earned runs in 14 innings. He also collected four hits at the plate including a double and two RBI. 

Traylor went 1-1 on the mound with 15 strikeouts in 7.2 IP. At the plate, he had five hits, five RBI, and scored four times in four games. 

The ORVC Softball Player of the Week is Milan junior Kynadee Bode. The Indians' star collected 14 hits, 12 RBI, 11 runs, two triples, a double, and a home run in six games. She also tossed a no-hitter, a one-hitter, and a two-hitter over 27 innings pitched.
