(Greensburg, Ind.) - A third of the high school football regular season is done and over with.

Locally, Week 3 was highlighted by a huge matchup in the Mid-Indiana Football Conference between then #9 Milan and #2 North Decatur. Heard on Eagle Country 99.3, the Indians and Chargers played an instant classic, going back and forth the whole way with North Decatur pulling out a 21-20 win.

The game had plenty of twists and turns, particularly in the second half, when Milan forced the North Decatur defense into three straight offside penalties, which took Milan from a 4th and 16 to a 4th and 1. On that 4th and 1 play, quarterback Wyatt Marsh took a QB sneak 34 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 14 a piece.

With 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter, Milan would take their first lead of the game on a 16-yard TD pass from Marsh to Micah Norman. North Decatur safety Corbin Thackery would block the extra point, making it 20-14. Thackery then took the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown, leading to the Chargers 21-20 victory.
