CINCINNATI - Once upon a time, Mason Parris was an All-State football player.
On Monday, the Lawrenceburg native and U.S. Olympian worked out for the Bengals, reports WLWT's Charlie Clifford.
Parris hasn't played football since 2017 when he was a senior in high school. That season, he tallied 151 tackles, six sacks, and an interception, earning a spot on the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team - while helping lead the Tigers to a state championship appearance.
Playing as a middle linebacker in high school, Parris totaled 581 tackles as a four-year starter.
According to Clifford's report, Parris went through drills at linebacker and defensive end.
