Rising Sun 7, South Ripley 1 – Rising Sun’s Landon Cole went wild with 4 goals in the blowout win. Jake Bovard, James Bounds, and Brendon Westrich each scored a single goal. Bovard and Brayden Bush each made a couple assists. Jordan Parsons made three saves in goal.

Southwestern 2, Jac-Cen-Del 0

Switzerland County 2, Shawe Memorial 1 – Switz’s Nathan Scranton scored a goal in the senior night win.

Oldenburg Academy 1, Richmond 0

 

BOYS TENNIS

IHSAA Sectional 13 at Connersville - Semifinals

Franklin County 4, Union County 1 – Franklin County advances to play host Connersville in the sectional title match on Saturday.

Connersville 5, Rushville 0

 

CROSS COUNTRY

Batesville’s boys and girls teams swept the team titles at the Greensburg Invitational held Thursday. South Ripley’s Megan Cole claimed first place among the girls. East Central’s girls came in second, while the Trojan boys were third.

Milan 4, Rising Sun 0 – Milan captures the 2018 ORVC Girls Soccer Championship with the victory. Maggie Schmidt scored twice while Emma Miller and Jordan Combs each added a goal.
