The IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament got underway on Tuesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Class 4A Sectional 14 at Whiteland - First Round

Whiteland 52, East Central 23

The Lady Trojans finish the season with a 7-17 record.

Class 3A Sectional 29 at Lawrenceburg - First Round

Batesville 49, South Dearborn 25

Sophie Gesell (BV): 19 points
Bernadette Wismann (SD): 11 points
Batesville will play Connersville in the semi-finals on Friday
South Dearborn ends the season with a 3-20 record.

Class 2A Sectional 45 at North Decatur - First Round

Switzerland County 47, Hauser 36

Macy Collier (SC): 15 points
Halle Archer (SC): 13 points
Bri Stow (SC): 12 points
Switzerland County will play South Ripley in the semi-finals on Friday.
