Holiday tournaments in boys and girls basketball and two Ripley County teams dueled in the swimming pool on Tuesday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Morristown Tournament 

South Dearborn 52, New Washington 45 (First Round) 

Lawrenceburg 53, Waldron 38 (First Round)

Covenant Christian 69, South Ripley 52 (First Round) 

South Ripley 72, Waldron 35 (Consolation) - The Raiders will play Randolph Southern in the 5th Place game on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.

South Dearborn 54, Morristown 52 (Semifinals) - Senior, Quentin Stevens hit a 3 point basket with 33 seconds left in the game to put the Knights ahead. The Knights came out with a half court trap to force a turnover and secure the win. South Dearborn will take on Covenant Christian in the Championship Game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Covenant Christian 85, Lawrenceburg 58 (Semifinals) - The Tigers will play Morristown in the 3rd Place game on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

East Central 71, Purdue Poly Englewood 41 (First Round) - Trojans head coach David Disbro earns his 300th win at East Central. 

Danville 87, Madison 79 (Semifinals)

Southwestern (Hanover) 83, East Central 79 - OT (Semifinals) - The Trojans will play Madison in the 3rd Place game on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

Jac-Cen-Del 59, North White 42 (5th Place) 

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Scottsburg Classic

Jennings County 48, Lawrenceburg 45 - The Lady Tigers led by eight points at halftime, but were outscored 34-23 in the second half. Lawrenceburg was led in scoring by Kirsten Cross with 13 points. Kierah Lowe chipped in with 12 points. 

Charlestown 47, Lawrenceburg 35 - Katie Johnson and Kierah Lowe led the Tigers with 10 points each.
