TRACK & FIELD

Lawrenceburg's Boy’s and Girl's track and field teams competed at home last night against Rising Sun, Switzerland County, and Jennings County. The girls finished in 1st place while the boys finished in 2nd. Boys highlights from the evening included wins in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles by Luke Thornton, a first place finish in the High Jump by Crue Gilmour, as well as victories in the shot put and discus throw by Bryce Hedrick. Girls highlights from the evening included wins in the shot put, discus, and long jump by Alahna Beinkemper, a first place finish in the 400 meter dash by Morgan Manford, as well as wins in the 100 and 200 meter dash by Ava Merkel. Ava set a new school record in the 100 with a time of 12.70 seconds! The girls 4x400 meter relay team also took first place with the help of Morgan Manford, Morgan Jackson, Ellie Fox, and Addi Mettler.
