(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Students at Lawrenceburg High School are taking steps to become IHSAA licensed officials.

There are seven students currently taking part in the new program at LHS.

Freshman Brooklyn Craig is the school’s first IHSAA Licensed Official. She completed a new course that is part of the Officiating 101 initiative.

Craig joins her dad and brother, who are both officials too. She is now capable of refereeing IHSAA events that are at the junior varsity level or under.

Once Craig turns 18, she will be eligible to ref at the varsity level if she chooses.

Charlie Meyer, Joey Cavanaugh and Noah Knigga have completed the officiating course, but still need to take the IHSAA exam.
