(Osgood, Ind.) - One of the all-time great basketball players in Jac-Cen-Del history has earned an incredible honor.

Senior Paige Ledford is one of 700 high school basketball players to be nominated for the annual McDonald's All-American Game.

Ledford averaged 14.8 points and 11.8 rebounds this season, helping Jac-Cen-Del to a 22-4 record. For her career, she is one of 13 players in state history to total over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

This year’s McDonald's All-American nominees are being recognized for the consistent hustle, grind and passion each have brought to the game of basketball over the course of their high school careers. The final team roster of 48 players will be named later this month. However, the annual game will not take place this year due to COVID-19. Instead, the 2021 All-Americans will be celebrated with a virtual ceremony.

In the past the McDonald's All-American Game has included the likes of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Zion Williamson, Maya Moore, Candace Parker, A’ja Wilson and many more.

Ledford will go on to play college ball at Thomas More University. The Saints have won the NCAA Division III National Championship three times since 2014.

She has one more game to go as a high school player. Ledford was chosen by the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association to compete in the annual Regional All-Star Game on April 25 at Barr-Reeve High School.
