Any student-athlete that does not have a valid physical from the last school year will need to get a physical.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Highpoint Health primary care offices and OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine are offering sports physicals by appointment during normal business hours. The cost is $25.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) announced that valid Pre-Participation Physical and Consent forms for the 2019-20 school year will be valid during the upcoming 2020-21 school year for all student athletes. A Health History & Consent and Release form is still required, and can be obtained at your high school’s athletic office or downloaded at www.IHSAA.org.

Sports physicals meet the requirements of the IHSAA to participate with interscholastic elementary, middle and high school sponsored sports programs. Any athlete grades 6–12 who does not have a Pre-Participation Physical and Consent from the 2019-20 school year will be required to obtain a completed physical prior to being eligible for competition. This includes any students from out of state who wish to participate in IHSAA-sanctioned sports for the 2020-21 school year.

All $25 sports physicals are by appointment only:

· Highpoint Health – Call your Highpoint Health primary care provider.

· OrthoCincy – Dr. Ronald Auer and Dr. Brian Wissel are providing sports physicals at the Lawrenceburg office. Please call 859.301.2663 to schedule an appointment.

Contact your high school’s athletic director if you have questions regarding 2020-2021 eligibility.
