Here Are The Opening Games For The 2019 Ripley County Tournament

The Bulldogs, Raiders, Indians and Eagles will dribble for the tournament trophy in early January.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The first-round opponents of one of Indiana’s longest-running high school basketball tournaments have been set.

The first Ripley County Basketball Tournament was held way back in 1922. That year, Versailles beat Batesville in the title game.

The 2019 Ripley County Basketball Tournament draw was held Wednesday, December 5. Batesville and Jac-Cen-Del drew each other while South Ripley will get Milan in the first-round games of both the girls and boys tournaments.

The tournament starts on Wednesday, January 2 with the girls opening round games at Milan High School starting with the Batesville vs JCD tipoff at 6:00 p.m. The girls consolation and championship will be Friday, January 4 at 6:00 at Milan.

Boys teams will play their games at South Ripley High School starting with the first round on Thursday, January 3 at 6:00 p.m. The boys consolation and championship will be Saturday, January 5 starting at 6:00.

Batesville has won two consecutive Ripley County Tournament boys championships. South Ripley is the reigning girls tournament champion.
