Maxwell was the state runner-up in discus and fourth in shot put this past spring.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – A highly accomplished track and field star has made his college declaration.
East Central High School senior Leo Maxwell recently signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Purdue University.
Maxwell stars in discus and shot put.
Last season, he finished as the runner-up in discus and fourth in shot put at the IHSAA State Championship.
Maxwell currently holds the East Central school record in both competitions.
Academically, Maxwell is a member of the National Honor Society.
He plans to study Kinesiology at Purdue.
