(St. Leon, Ind.) – Conference meet champion East Central leads with six athletes on the All-Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Girls Track & Field Team.

The conference announced its All-EIAC selections Wednesday. The all-conference athletes were decided by coaches’ voting.

The honor of Most Valuable Athlete in the conference went to Greensburg’s Hannah Brenner. She was a conference champion in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run. She placed second in the 1600 and third in the 800 at the IHSAA Regionals on May 21 to earn a state finals appearance in both events.

East Central head coach Ashley Andres was named the EIAC Girls Track & Field Coach of the Year. A former student-athlete at EC, Andres has seen her girls teams win the conference meet in each of her three seasons as head coach.

The six East Central Trojans making the All-EIAC team included Eva Grimm, Emma Fey, Megan Sierra, Ellie Lengerich, Lily Greiwe, and Emilee Wedding.

South Dearborn’s Eva Quinlan was the lone representative from the Knights on the all-conference list. She was a conference champ in the 300 meter hurdles.

Franklin County had four earn all-conference honors, including Anna Schatzle, Ashlan Hill, Audrey Reister, and Katelyn Meyer.

Greensburg is represented by MVP Brenner, Lily Grimes, and Elizabeth Mitchell.

Rushville’s only All-EIAC runner was Charity Griffith.
