Youth to Yellowstone Throwing Reunion Party at Versailles State Park

All participants of the program are invited to share memories at the first-ever YTY Reunion.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Youth to Yellowstone is having a reunion. 

Students and chaperones are invited to gather for a first-ever reunion at Versailles State Park on Sunday, September 10 from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Schimmerhorn Shelter will be the spot for Youth to Yellowstone participants and their families to gather and share memories of their experiences on their trip west. Attendees are encouraged to bring photographs from their trip, and wear their Youth to Yellowstone t-shirt. 

A taco bar will be provided, in addition to water and a birthday cake for Jim Waldo, one of the founders of Youth to Yellowstone.  

The pitch-in picnic will also be a birthday celebration for Jim Waldo, one of the founders of the trip. Those attending are asked to bring a dish for the pitch-in.

Reservations are requested, so that there is enough food available. To RSVP, contact Nancy Laymon at 812-212-9508 or Bill Riley at 812-621-1965, with number of those planning to attend. Admission into the park is free for Youth to Yellowstone attendees. 

Youth to Yellowstone has been taking disadvantaged high school students to Yellowstone National Park and surrounding special sites since 2015. Generous donations from local foundations, organizations, civic and service groups, and individuals have made the trips possible.
