(Undated) – Homicide rates are going up across the country, and three regional cities are seeing their homicide rates rise more than most others.
WalletHub released their Cities with the Highest Increase in Homicide Rates During COVID-19 report on Wednesday.
According to the report, homicide rates have risen by an average of 33 percent in 50 of the most populated U.S. cities between Q2 2019 and Q2 2021.
Cincinnati ranks 2nd overall for the most homicide cases per capita at 16.26 percent. That number has risen 6.30 percent since 2019.
Louisville is 7th on the list followed by Indianapolis at 15th overall.
