Volunteers Needed For COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics In Lawrenceburg

Dearborn County residents began receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday at the Lawrenceburg Event Center.

Dearborn County residents began receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday at the Lawrenceburg Event Center. 

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Dearborn County Health Department is seeking medical vaccinators and volunteers.

COVID-19 vaccinations began Monday in Dearborn County at the Lawrenceburg Event Center.

Moving forward Dearborn County Health Officer Dr. Stephen Eliason says volunteers are needed for upcoming vaccination clinics, especially health care workers that can vaccinate, among other volunteers.

Upcoming vaccinations will take place on the following days:

Week 1

January 20th 10am – 6pm

January 21th 10am – 6pm

January 22th 10am-6pm

January 23th  8:30am-11

Week 2

January 26th 10am – 6pm

January 27th 10am – 6pm

January 28th 10am – 6pm

January 30th 8:30am – 11

“Just today I was asked by the state how much volume we can handle, and they want an answer ASAP,” said Eliason. “The more committed volunteers we have, the more vaccine I’ll try to get.”

Those with medical certification, pharmacists, medical assistants, EMT's and nursing students are encouraged to volunteer by emailing mcalhoun@dearborncounty.in.gov.

Vaccinators will need a current license.
