VIDEO: SRCSC, Dr. Welsh Ensure Parents Of A Safe School Environment

"I can assure the parents of the South Ripley students, the plans that have been made, the efforts that have been put forth have been exemplary."

(Versailles, Ind.) - "I can assure you that your students will be safe." These are the words that every parent sending their children to school want to hear, and Ripley County Health Officer Dr. Welsh is confident that South Ripley students are in fact just that.

On Thursday, South Ripley Community School Corporation Superintendent Rob Moorhead, Corporation Nurse Marie Menchhofer, and South Ripley Elementary Principal Amy Linkel invited Dr. Welsh to tour campus facilities and discuss the Re-entry Plan.

Dr. Welsh was excited to see the plans put in place to keep the students and staff safe.

"I can assure the parents of the South Ripley students, the plans that have been made, the efforts that have been put forth have been exemplary," says Dr. Welsh. "The policies and procedures, the layout, all the changes that have been made really warm my heart as to the difference being made."

South Ripley students will make their return to classes on Wednesday, August 5.
