Lane restrictions will be in place and delays should be expected.
(Greendale, Ind.) – The paving project that has caused lengthy delays on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg and Aurora is set to begin in Greendale.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says Rohe Asphalt is scheduled to begin milling and paving of a 2.5-mile section of U.S. 50 from State Road 1 to the Ohio state line on Thursday, May 30.
Inside lanes of U.S. 50 will be closed for the next six to eight days while work is completed. Lane restrictions will then move to the outside lanes upon completion of work on inside lanes.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and use extra caution in the work zone.
The paving project is expected to be complete by July 12. All work is weather dependent.
