UPDATE: HHRWD Lifts Boiling Advisory

Customers of the Hoosier Hills Regional Water District and Milan residents are no longer under a voluntary water boiling advisory.

 

The advisory was lifted Tuesday at about noon after test samples showed there was not contamination in the water supply.

 

The utility ordered the advisory after a water main broke Sunday morning.

(Milan, Ind.) - Customers of the Hoosier Hills Regional Water District in Ripley County are under a voluntary water boiling advisory.

 

The utility company experienced a water main break on Sunday morning, leading to possible contamination.

 

The advisory could be lifted Tuesday if testing on water samples shows no contamination.

 

The advisory is also in effect for the Town of Milan, which purchases its water from Hoosier Hills.
