Original story posted Wednesday, March 18th, 10:26 a.m.:

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The 4th Annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS Car Show is being put on hold.

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns and state and local mandates, the car show won’t go on as planned for May 3.

The CDC recently recommended that all non-essential events of 50 people or more be cancelled or postponed for at least eight weeks.

The car show would far surpass that number with 120 pre-registered cars and 90 business sponsors on hand.

Event organizer Logan Lawrence says he is working to get a reschedule date in July or early August.

“The show is too important for the community and the cause for ALS to just cancel,” said Lawrence. At this time, it is appropriate we follow safety measures and follow guidelines for the considerations of all citizens.”

Over the past three years, the Cruisin to a Cure for ALS Car Show has raised more than $62,000 for the ALS Association’s Indiana Chapter.
