UPDATE: Arrest Made In Bright Dollar General Armed Robbery

Update published Wednesday, April 4 at 9:48 a.m.: 

The man suspected of an armed robbery at the Bright Dollar General was taken into custody near Dayton, Ohio Tuesday night. 

The unidentified man was tracked by Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit investigators to a Red Roof Inn in Miamisburg when he fled from police. During the pursuit, the armed suspect was shot as he attempted to pull a gun on the approaching officers, reports WHIO-7.  

The suspect suffered non-life threatening injuries. A woman in the suspect's motel room was also taken into custody. It is unknown if she was an accomplice. 

Authorities have yet to release the names of the suspects, as formal charges are still pending. 

However, a source close to the investigation says the male suspect is connected to the armed robbery at the Bright Dollar General.

Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens announced Wednesday morning that a suspect in the Bright Dollar General store robbery has been taken into custody. 

The arrest came in fewer than 24 hours after the Monday night stickup.

The suspect's name could be released once formal charges are filed.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Police are hoping the public can help identify an armed robbery suspect.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the Dollar General Store on Stateline Road in Lawrenceburg on Monday night.

Witnesses say a man entered the store around 9:50 p.m. and used a small, black semi-automatic handgun to demand cash from the clerk.

The man is believed to be in his early 30’s and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, purple or blue hooding, dark colored Carhartt style coat, blue athletic pants, white tennis shoes and a black toboggan.

The suspect also appears to have a mustache and a soul patch below his lower lip.

He is believed to be driving a dark colored pickup truck.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department at (812) 537-3571.
