(Aurora, Ind.) - United Way Greater Cincinnati recently awarded South Dearborn Community School Corporation a $10,000 grant through their Early Learning Indiana program to support the launch of its new blended preschool program.

The funding will help provide three-year-old students with the engaging, hands-on learning experiences and resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Grant funds will be used to purchase a variety of essential classroom and educational materials, including tables and chairs, hands-on manipulatives, fine- and gross-motor activity materials, sensory resources, social-emotional books, and other high-quality educational tools.

These resources will help create a welcoming, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, and physical development of South Dearborn’s youngest learners.

Director of Community Partnerships Mary Bailey was especially excited to have the opportunity to collaborate once again with Karen Snyder, Director of Advancement at United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Southeast Indiana.

“Karen and I met in the spring to discuss several opportunities to support our students, and I am incredibly grateful that we are continuing to work together to make a difference for our youngest learners,” said Bailey. “This grant will have a meaningful impact on our new preschool program and will help us provide our students with the resources and experiences they need to begin their educational journey on a strong foundation."
