U.S. 421 Reopens in Napoleon; New Four-Way Stop in Place

Motorists are urged to be on the lookout for the new four-way stop.

(Napoleon, Ind.) – U.S. 421 has reopened in Napoleon, but motorists are being advised to look out for a new four-way stop.

As part of the nearly $7 million project, the intersection at U.S. 421 and State Road 229 has been converted to a four-way stop.

“This will certainly take some time for everyone to get used to, so please be very careful when traveling through town. Old habits will certainly be hard to break for many people who have driven through our town over the years. We don’t want to meet you by accident,” reads a statement from Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department.

Other improvements during the construction project included the milling and repaving of U.S. 421 and bridge replacements.

Motorists should be aware of additional work in the coming weeks to be completed under flagging.
