Two Free Fishing Days This Weekend

June is an especially good time to fish for largemouth bass, sunfish, catfish, and Skamania steelhead.

(Indianapolis) - Indiana Department of Natural Resources is allowing Two Free Fishing Days this weekend to kick off National Fishing and Boating Week. 

Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6 residents will not need a fishing license of trout/salmon stamp to fish state’s public waters.  

National Fishing and Boating week is a national celebration that highlights the importance of recreational fishing and boating. 

Visit the Where to Fish map on.IN.gov/where2fish for public fishing areas and access sites around the state. 

The final Free Fishing Day for the year will be September 25.
