Two Dead After Car Crash In NKY

This accident happened early Sunday morning.

(Grant Co., Ky.) - Two are dead after a car accident in Northern Kentucky early Sunday morning.

Around 4:30 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 6 were dispatched to a possible fatal accident on the 3200 block on Knoxville Road in Dry Ridge.

Upon arrival, deputies located a black 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck flipped on its top on the side of the road.

Driver, Kory Gorman, 22, and passenger, Taylor Souder, 22, were both killed as a result of the crash.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office reported that there were several hundred feet of skid marks leading to the collision scene into trees, and neither occupant was restrained by safety belts.

It is believed through preliminary investigation that speed as a most likely factor in the collision.

Toxicology reports are pending and expected back in six weeks.

Both families of the occupants have been notified.

The accident remains under investigation.
