Tuesday Is Primary Election Day In Kentucky

Voters statewide can head to the ballot box to vote for party nominee for governor and other state offices.

(undated) - Kentucky Republicans and Democrats will pick their nominees for governor, attorney general, and other state offices Tuesday, May 21.

Polls across Kentucky are open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. However, as long as you're in line by 6:00 p.m., you'll be allowed to vote. Lines are not expected at most polling places Tuesday, as voter turnout is expected to be less than 13 percent statewide.

You can find your polling place, voter registration status, sample ballot, and more at GoVoteKY.com.

Voters in Kentucky will select their Republican nominee for governor from among four candidates. Incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin is largely expected to win the nomination for the November general election over challenger State Rep. Robert Goforth, northern Kentucky real estate agent William Woods, and Lexington developer Ike Lawrence.

Four Democrats are running for governor, including Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, Kentucky House Minority Floor Leader Rocky Adkins, ex-State Auditor Adam Edelen and Geoff Young.

Other offices for which party nominations are up for grabs Tuesday include attorney general, secretary of state, auditor, treasurer, and secretary of agriculture.
