Traffic Switch, New Signals Begin On U.S. 50 In Greendale

Road construction season rolls on in Eagle Country.

(Greendale, Ind.) - A traffic pattern shift is planned for this week on US 50 in Greendale.

INDOT contractor Paul H. Rohe Company is scheduled to shift lane closures on U.S. 50 in Greendale from the right hand lanes to the left hand lanes on Monday, September 30.

The closures will affect the east and westbound lanes north of State Road 1.

Additionally, new traffic signals will be activated at Greencomm Drive on Wednesday. Once the signals are working, the southern westbound portion of Greendale Plaza Drive will be closed at US 50 for median construction.

Businesses on Flossie Drive will be accessed through Greencomm Drive.

The traffic pattern will be in place for two to three weeks.

Motorists should expect delays in the area due to lane closures and exercise caution in and near the work zone. A 45 mph speed restriction remains in effect. The whole project is expected to be complete by mid-November.
