(Wilmington, Oh.) - A Tornado Watch and Flood Warning have been issued for portions of the tri-state.
According to the National Weather Service, the Tornado Watch is in effect until 7:00 p.m. for Boone, Kenton, Carroll, and Gallatin counties in northern Kentucky, and Ohio, and Switzerland counties in Indiana.
The Flood Warning is also in effect until 7:00 p.m. and has been issued for counties in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
- Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland in Indiana
- Boone, Carroll, Gallatin and Kenton in Kentucky
- Hamilton County, Ohio
At 3:05 PM, the NWS radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible.
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Motorists are reminded to never drive over flooded roads.
