(Ripley County, Ind.) – The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) recently celebrated the graduation of 64 commanders from various Sheriff’s offices across the state.

Three Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies were among the 64 graduates of the West Point Leadership Academy. They are Adam Hunger, Bob Curl, and Conrad Reichert III.

The initiative represents a significant step forward in law enforcement leadership development within Indiana, preparing commanders to navigate the complexities of modern policing with integrity and strategic insight.

The foundation of the course is “about understanding human behavior, including our own, and learning to lead people more effectively in today’s dynamic public safety environment,” said Dr. Mitch Javidi, founder of the National Command & Staff College. “The course is designed to be primarily practical and deliberately applicable in the real world with real people using contemporary challenges in need of creative solutions.”
