Three-Month-Old Died Of Meth Ingestion; Parents Arrested

The child was found dead in the family's Madison apartment back in July.

(Madison, Ind.) - Two southeastern Indiana parents are being charged with neglect of a dependent after their infant son died from ingesting methamphetamine.

Deven G. Frisque, 32, and Tara L. Savage, 28, both of Madison, were arrested this week after Indiana State Police investigated the death of three-month-old Eben Frisque.

Eben died on July 15, 2018. He had been found unresponsive in the couple’s apartment on Taft Drive.

Authorities learned that the parents had consumed meth and other drugs while caring for Eben and another child.

An autopsy determined Eben's cause of death was “acute methamphetamine ingestion.”

The case was forwarded to the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The prosecutor has now charged Frisque and Savage with Neglect of a Dependent (level 1 felony), punishable by 20 up to 40 years in prison.

They were each arrested this week. Savage is in custody in Kentucky pending extradition back to Indiana.
