(Crestview Hills, Ky.) – Thomas More College is in search for a new president.
The college announced Thursday that President David A. Armstrong has resigned effective July 31. Armstrong has accepted an offer to become the new president at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.
Armstrong’s stint as president at Thomas More lasted just five years, but his impact on the school will be missed.
During his time at Thomas More, the college ranked first on three separate occasions for Return on Investment in Kentucky.
Armstrong also helped secure the largest donor gift in the history of the college, which helped create the TMC Student Success Center. He also helped establish the Bishop Foys Scholarship for Campus Ministry.
“My wife, Leslie, and I loved our time at Thomas More and we are excited to begin a new chapter at St. Thomas University in Miami,” President Armstrong said in a news release. “We are products of a small, Catholic liberal arts college and believe in the transformative experience this type of college provides.
Armstrong’s replacement has yet to be named.
