“Anyone in the restaurant and hospitality industry knows that the past several years have presented challenges including higher  food, supplies, utilities, repairs and equipment prices as well as staffing shortages,” comments Georg Heringer, owner.

“It is therefore no small feat to open a restaurant that offers the menu Chef Brady has designed which is simultaneously delectable and reasonably priced,” adds Heringer. “While we are very optimistic about the restaurant’s future, we still face challenges and urge the community to consider the value and economic impact of The Sherman Black Forest Bar Restaurant on tourism as well as offering a place to gather, celebrate and socialize in one of the state’s oldest establishments. We appreciate the patronage and purchases made with us especially in this start-up phase which this essentially is for us. Please come dine with us.”

Large groups will enjoy our private dining rooms; the Hillenbrand for parties up to 20 with the fireplace while groups of 8 to 10 are perfect for the Lone Star room where getting loud is no problem.

Now taking reservations at 812-934-1000.  Menu available at www.the-sherman.com under “Dine/Menus.”
