(Napoleon, Ind.) – At a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning, the town of Westport officially welcomed the newest location of The Napoleon State Bank. The bank, located on the corner of State Road 3 and Underwood Drive, opened its doors to the public directly after the ribbon cutting, though the Grand Opening celebrations will take place all week.

The public is invited to stop in and register for door prizes valued at more than $2,800, meet the staff, and take home a complimentary goodie bag.

"We would love to meet the residents of Westport," Becky Tichenor, Westport Assistant Branch Manager said. "Everyone is encouraged to stop in and say hello."

It has been a year-long process to get the Napoleon State Bank Westport location ready for business. The bank purchased the building and property in March 2018, and then the car wash next to it soon after. The car wash was torn down to allow for a more seamless drive-thru, and the interior of the building was completely remodeled.

"From the beginning, the Westport community has been very welcoming and we are excited to be a vital part of this community," said Mark Comer, CEO/President. "We are happy to be serving the residents of Westport and the surrounding areas, and growing our locally owned community bank."

The Napoleon State Bank has been locally owned since 1903 and serves the Ripley and Decatur counties of Southeastern Indiana with locations in Napoleon, Holton, Osgood, and Greensburg. The mission of The Napoleon State Bank is to remain a locally owned financial institution, dedicated to providing a broad range of services to our customers and communities, through a friendly, trained, qualified staff that provides unsurpassed personal service to our customers. The Napoleon State Bank has a total of 74 full and part-time employees. Member FDIC & Equal Housing Lender.
