These repairs will target terminal joint damage sustained during winter freeze-thaw cycles.
(Dearborn/Ripley Co., Ind.) - A $4.5 million terminal joint replacement and repair project is set to begin next Monday, April 27.
INDOT announced that this project will affect over 75 locations across Indiana, including some here in Eagle Country.
Contractor, E&B Paving Inc., will work at each location for one-to-two nights at a time.
Locally, U.S. 50 in Dearborn County at Tanner's Creek and S.R. 229 over I-74 in Ripley County will be two areas affected.
Work performed at these locations will include milling and placement of polymeric asphalt to repair terminal joint damage sustained during winter freeze-thaw cycles.
Motorists should remember to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free when moving through work zones.
Work is expected to be complete by mid-September, weather dependent.
