SWAT Standoff Leads to Arrest of Burlington Man

(Burlington, Ky.) - Boone County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence call at the 8200 block of East Bend Road in Burlington on Saturday night. 

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, the victim reported that Kyle Wilson, 29, had assaulted her and strangled her inside the residence. The victim also reported that Wilson was possible armed. 

The victim fled the residence with her children. 

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies spent several hour attempting to negotiate with Wilson. SWAT was activated and Wilson eventually stepped out onto the porch but did not surrender. 

At that time, SWAT fired a less lethal munition, which was effective and Wilson was placed under arrest. 

He is charged with one (1) count of Strangulation 1st Degree (Domestic Violence) and one (1) count of Assault 4th Domestic Violence. He is currently lodged at the Boone County Jail and held on a $100,000 cash bond.
