(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The tri-state is digging out after a weekend winter storm.

The National Weather Service says Cincinnati broke a snowfall record for January 13 with nearly six inches, shattering the previous, 80-year-old mark. That was after roughly four inches fell on Saturday, January 12.

Much higher snow accumulations were recorded elsewhere. Ten inches was reported in Versailles between Saturday and Sunday, according to the weather service. Some areas further south and east like Walton and Rising Sun received only 3 ½ to 4 inches.

A lot of local sporting events and youth league basketball games were nixed by the snow on Saturday. Many churches canceled their Sunday services after the second round of snow overnight.

We are welcoming you to share your snow photos and reports with us on Twitter, @eagle993, or our Facebook page.

With some melting yesterday and cold temperatures this morning, some black ice is a possibility. Refreezing on an overpass on Interstate 71 Northbound near the merge with I-75 in Walton has caused multiple wrecks there Monday morning. The highway reopened around 6:45 a.m.
