(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – St. Elizabeth Healthcare is looking for volunteers.

An information session will be held at the Lawrenceburg Public Library in the Ewbank meeting room on November 28 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Attendees will learn about the many opportunities available from a panel of current volunteers who will share their experience volunteering and why St. Elizabeth Healthcare is the best place to give back.

Sharyn Makrancy is a volunteer at the Information Desk at St. Elizabeth Dearborn. Her job is to help people, comfort them, or put them at ease with whatever the situation may be.

“It makes you feel good, and there is a real need for it,” said Makrancy. “There are different volunteer opportunities, it’s flexible, and if an area you first chose does not work for you, you can try something different.”

In northern Kentucky, Nathan Due started volunteering at the St. Elizabeth Cancer Center in the Infusion area after retiring from the Edgewood Police Department in 2022.

Due was inspired to become a volunteer after the interactions he had with volunteers during his own treatment at the Cancer Center.

“Take the leap,” Nathan encourages to anyone interested in volunteering. “It’s flexible and everyone is very friendly.”
