Southwest, Three Rivers School Districts Earn Solid Ratings on Ohio Report Cards

COLUMBUS - The State of Ohio has released their 2024-25 Ohio Report Cards for Schools. 

The report card is based on six components: Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Graduation, Early Literacy, and College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness. 

Achievement is a measure of how well students performed on state tests. Progress measures student growth based on past performance. Gap Closing focuses on the reduction of educational gaps for students. 

Graduation is a measure of the four-year graduation rate. Early Literacy is a measure of reading improvement and proficiency for students in K-3. College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness measures how well Ohio students are prepared for future opportunities. 

Ratings are measures from one to five stars. For example, three stars meets state standards.

Southwest Local School District 

  • Overall Rating - 4 Stars
  • Achievement - 4 Stars
  • Progress - 2 Stars
  • Gap Closing - 5 Stars
  • Graduation - 4 Stars
  • Early Literacy - 3 Stars
  • College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness - 5 Stars

Southwest Local has a four-year graduation rate of 94.4 percent. Chronic absenteeism is at 20 percent. The average years of experience for the district's teachers is 15. 

Three Rivers Local School District

  • Overall Rating - 4.5 Stars 
  • Achievement - 4 Stars
  • Progress - 4 Stars
  • Gap Closing - 5 Stars
  • Graduation - 5 Stars
  • Early Literacy - 3 Stars
  • College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness - 3 Stars

Three Rivers has a four-year graduation rate of 97.6 percent. Chronic absenteeism rate is at 19 percent. The average years of experience for the district's teachers is 15.
