Some Slow Drivers Just Can't Stay Out Of The Fast Lane

Indiana State Police have been writing tickets for people violating the state's so-called "slowpoke" law.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana State Police troopers have written more than 200 tickets for motorists who don’t abide by Indiana’s “slowpoke” law.

State lawmakers moved in 2015 to require slower drivers to move to the right lane in order to allow faster traffic to pass in the left lane.

Indiana State Police have ticketed 87 drivers in 2017 for left lane violations and 132 in 2018, according to the Associated Press. The agency also issued more than 1,000 warnings last year.
