Showers and Storms Today; Flood Watch in Effect

Some severe storms are expected, and tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – Tri-state area residents should be weather aware today.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue this morning with additional showers and storms developing late this afternoon into this evening.

According to the National Weather Service, some storms can be expected between 3:00 and 10:00 p.m.

Damaging winds, large hail, and several tornadoes, some strong or intense, will be possible.

Total rainfall amounts of two to four inches are possible. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire tri-state area until 8:00 p.m.

Residents in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Motorists are reminded to never drive across flooded roads.
