(Decatur County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin bridge rehabilitation work on eastbound I-74 on or after the evening of Monday, June 9, near New Point.

Work will take place on eastbound I-74 between North County Road 600 East and South County Road 850 East just west of Exit 143. Work is expected to be complete in early July, weather permitting.

The right lane of eastbound I-74 will be closed while work is in progress.

This project is part of a $3.2 million contract awarded to E&B in February 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change
