INDIANAPOLIS – Five local students recently spent a day serving as Senate pages at the Indiana Statehouse.
Senator Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) welcomed the following students to the Statehouse in February.
- Avery Clayton, from Indianapolis, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School
- Finley Clayton, from Indianapolis, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School
- Charlotte Dull, from Moores Hill, is a homeschooled student
- Aiden Slayback, from Lawrenceburg, attends Lawrenceburg High School
- Emma Wynn, from Madison, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School
Each spent the day touring the building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with Sen. Maxwell.
"As a new senator, the Senate Page Program has provided me with a great opportunity to meet young Hoosiers from Senate District 43," Maxwell said. "I have appreciated seeing these young students take time out of their day to learn about their state government and the role lawmakers play in the legislative process. I encourage more to take advantage of this opportunity next year. "
