(Aurora, Ind.) - Talks about South Dearborn Community Schools’ facilities will continue Tuesday, May 28.

Superintendent Eric Lows is hosting a community roundtable discussion from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the South Dearborn Middle School cafeteria. The meeting is open to the public.

With some schools only about half-full, an advisory committee has put forth the idea of closing one or more schools to help the district continue operating in the black.

At the same time, the school district is considering up to $5.17 million worth of maintenance and improvements at South Dearborn High School. A property tax increase in the school district could be sought to fund the repairs and renovations.

Another community roundtable on South Dearborn Community Schools facilities is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the middle school in Aurora.
