(Batesville, Ind.) – The Milan American Legion Post 235 recently awarded Safe Passage, Inc. $14,000 to help with the nonprofit’s crisis response outreach services.
The funding also fills a significant budget shortfall this year from state and federal grants.
Contributing to the allocation was the Legionnaires, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Legion Auxiliary of Milan.
Safe Passage, Inc. provides free support services including shelter and domestic and sexual violence survivors and their children in the six-county district of Ripley, Franklin, Dearborn, Ohio, Switzerland, and Jefferson counties.
