By City of Aurora, news release

The City of Aurora says Manchester Landing will close near the intersection of U.S. 50/Green Boulevard and Sunny Side Avenue starting September 23, 2019.

(Aurora, Ind.) - As part of the City of Aurora and INDOT Community Crossings Roadway Reconstruction Project, a closure of Manchester Landing will be required during the construction phase for 6-8 weeks.  In response, a planned detour route has been developed.  This detour directs traffic from US 50 for the Aurora Dog Park, Dearborn Trail and park restrooms, as well as the River Cities Bike Share Program access to George Street to the park entrance behind the public parking area. Detour Signs will be posted directing to recreational outlets.  The City of Aurora plans to close Manchester Landing Monday 9-23-19 at 8 am until on or about October 30th, 2019.

City officials continue to work with the Paul H. Rohe Company representatives to coordinate the PCCP Reconstruction project requirements for Manchester Landing totaling $192,597.10.  The road closure will address full road reconstruction of 757 SY on Manchester Landing between Green Blvd (US 50) to the railroad tracks as part of the City of Aurora’s INDOT Community Crossings Award.  Traffic barricades and signage for road closure will be posted.  No thru traffic will be allowed thru the construction zone.

Access to Aurora CVS and the Fuel-mart on Green Blvd (US 50) will not be affected.  The Aurora Dog Park, Dearborn Trail entrance and park restrooms, as well as the River Cities Bike Share Program all remain open during construction.

The City of Aurora reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker, as well as, pedestrian safety when driving thru an active construction zone.  For more information, visit www.aurora.in.us or contact Aurora City Manager, Guinevere Emery, at 513-505-7647.
