Taste of the Town brings together the best of Madison’s vibrant food scene

(Madison, Ind.) - Join River Valley Resources, Inc., who serve approximately 10,000 clients throughout Southeast Indiana, for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the legacy of the historic Clearinghouse building and the programs that transform lives at our annual Taste of the Town fundraiser. This premier culinary event will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Historic Eagle Cotton Mill – Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Madison.

Taste of the Town brings together the best of Madison’s vibrant food scene, offering guests the chance to savor an array of appetizers, entrées, desserts, pastries, and drinks from the area’s top restaurants, caterers, and beverage companies. It’s Southeast Indiana’s must-attend culinary celebration—perfect for foodies, community supporters, and anyone who loves great flavors with a meaningful purpose.

Guests can also enjoy a cash bar from the hotel’s newly remodeled 1884 Bar, adding a stylish and relaxing atmosphere to the evening’s festivities.

This year’s event honors the Clearinghouse and its mission of meeting needs, finding solutions, and building lives.

“Last year, Taste of the Town not only highlighted the incredible talents of our local food vendors—it reminded us of what we can achieve when we come together with purpose,” said Margo Olson, Executive Director of River Valley Resources. “Join us to celebrate good food, great company, and a brighter future for those we serve.”

  • Proceeds from the evening support River Valley Resources and the Clearinghouse’s life-changing programs, including: Adult education to earn a high school equivalency diploma
  • English language learning
  • Services that help Hispanic residents access resources and engage in the community
  • Workforce development and occupational job training
  • Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) for youth
  • The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) for older adults
  • Reentry services for justice-involved individuals
  • Job placement assistance
  • Child care support, services for children and families throughout Jefferson County

In addition, funds help preserve and restore the historic River Valley Resources building, ensuring this important community landmark remains a welcoming and accessible space for all who rely on its programs.
