(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The annual Rising Sun Summer Fest takes place on Main & Poplar Streets in downtown Rising Sun from 4:00-10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

This year’s event will feature arts/crafts/info vendors, food trucks, inflatables from Let’s Bounce, deejay J.D. Hughes, and live musical performances featuring JAMBOX from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and CRUSH, the Ultimate Bon Jovi Concert Experience from 8:30-10:00 p.m.

“We’re excited to kick off Rising Sun’s event season with the 2025 Summer Fest,” said Kendal Miller, executive director of Ohio County Tourism, Inc. and one of the event organizers.

This year’s event includes two Meet & Greets with Bumblebee the yellow Transformer from 5:30 & 7:00 p.m., and baby dinosaurs at 6:15 p.m. & 7:45 p.m. A face painter will also be on hand from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Presented by Ohio County Tourism, Inc., admission is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs.

“We invite everyone out to enjoy a fun evening in scenic Rising Sun. Enjoy all the festival activities and stop by the local shops on Main Street while you’re here,” said Miller.

Along with Rising Sun’s beautiful riverfront location, Miller also states that the event offers lots of selfie moments for both individuals and families.

Miller commented that events such as the Rising Sun Summer Fest wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of their sponsors including: the City of Rising Sun; the Ohio County Community Foundation; Friendship State Bank; St. Elizabeth Healthcare; and First Financial Bank.
