The DORA allows for patrons to take alcoholic beverages from one permitted business to another

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The City of Rising Sun now has a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).
The DORA officially started on July 4.
Moving forward, DORA hours will run from Sunday at 10:30 a.m. through Saturday and will close per statutory requirements for closure of bars.
The DORA allows for patrons to take alcoholic beverages from one permitted business to another and throughout the designated DORA distract as long as the beverage is in a clear, non-breakable plastic cup that has been affixed with a DORA sticker.
Current permitted DORA businesses are the American Legion Post 59 and Kings Landing. Signage signifies the current DORA district and a copy of the map can be seen above.
