Rising Star Casino GM Jimenez Is Leaving The Riverboat

Steve Jimenez has been the general manager at the Rising Sun riverboat casino for more than a decade.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The longtime general manager at Rising Star Casino is changing jobs.

Steve Jimenez has been the casino’s GM for 12 years dating back to 2006 when it was known as Grand Victoria Casino. He has been at the tri-state’s first casino for about 20 years overall, getting his start in the casino’s marketing department.

Jimenez is leaving the Rising Sun riverboat for a new position in Lexington, Kentucky, according to the city.

To recognize Jimenez’s contributions and career, Rising Sun Mayor Brent Bascom presented Jimenez with an honorary key to the city during a ceremony held at the casino on Thursday, May 24.
